Mahesh Kale Concert

Another day, another memorable concert. Mahesh Kale ji took the audience on a musical journey, showcasing his remarkable skills through an impressive assortment of traditional khayaal, abhang, thumri, and songs. The concert began with a soul-stirring rendition of the traditional Raag Dhani-based khayal. The voyage continued with a Mishr Khamaj Thumri and a series of old and new Hindi and Marathi songs and ghazals. Each piece was weaved into the performance seamlessly, demonstrating his ability to make classical music style relevant to contemporary listeners.

One of the highlights of the evening was Mahesh ji’s heartfelt rendition of Abhisheki Ji’s immortal “Hai Phulano” (my humble request granted). As the concert progressed, Mahesh ji introduced one of his compositions – a soulful Tukaram Abhang. The Abhang, a devotional poetry form, allowed Mahesh ji to display his mastery in blending spirituality and music. The concert’s finale was a magnificent performance of the Raag Malkauns-based “Kanada Raja Pandharicha.”

Mahesh ji’s concert was a testament to his musical genius, taking the audience through various genres, eras, and emotions. It was a seamless blend of traditional Indian classical music with contemporary elements.
